Carrie started her problems around September 9 2009.  She was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma (UES) of liver, stage four. UES is a rare malignant Soft tissue cancer with a poor prognosis. Carrie recieved her first three day treatment of aggressive chemotherapy the next day, and spent the next two weeks in the picu (pedriatics intensive care unit), and ten days in a medically induced coma. She endured 7 Chemo treatments, a whole liver transplant, and three additional chemo treatments.

She is now in Remission and yet very depressed because of the liver transplant, we are not able to go home to Oklahoma. We are  in the Ronald Mcdonald House in Cincinnati, Ohio. Carrie was supposed to go home the first week in June if there were no complications.

Update:

There are complications now of a bile leak with a unsuccessful ERCP to put in a
stint.

Carrie is weak, light hurts her eyes, and  she had another fever. But she has been feeling so much better and eating regularly. Happy for the small things.

Carrie's infection is Pseudomona, most likely at her bile drain site. But they are still testing to find if it is in the blood or somewhere else. The Dr's feel they can narrow the antibiotics down to two IVs  (gentamicin, and meropenem). She is also back on the prophylactic meds that she had after liver transplant.
