Baylie was diagnosed with chiari malformaion when she was a year old and had her first brain surgery when she was 13 months old. She was very developmentally behind.
She had her second brain surgery in Feb. of 2004, 6 weeks later she was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri which is high intracranial pressure. She had a shunt put in her back.
She has had a total of 11 surgeries, 3 brain and 8 shunt surgeries. She raises money for research by selling bracelets and shirts on her website. She has currently raised over 150,000.00. She is an amazing child who has never asked for anything for herself.
She suffers pain everyday but rarely complains. We don't know what the future holds for Baylie.
